Cancellation and refunds
Last updated October 26, 2026
1. Cancel any time.
Cancel any time on the billing page. Card plans stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then move to Free. If you cancel a card plan within 14 days of paying for it, the plan ends straight away and we refund that payment in full automatically (see section 3). Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer. Credit plans switch to Free straight away. Your monitors, client pages and incidents are kept. Monitors over the Free limit are paused and resume if you upgrade again. Detailed check history is kept for 7 days on Free, while daily uptime history is kept.
2. Plans paid from credit.
Charges stop straight away, and any credit left stays on your account. Credit isn't refundable or exchangeable for cash.
3. Plans paid by card.
If you cancel on the billing page within 14 days of paying for your plan, monthly or annual, including a renewal, we refund that payment in full automatically, and the plan ends and moves to Free straight away. Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer. If you cancel after that, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then moves to Free. Either way, you aren't charged again. If you delete your account instead, the plan ends straight away (see section 6).
4. Monthly plans.
A monthly plan gets a full refund if you ask within 14 days of paying for it, including a renewal, or if you cancel your plan or delete your account within that time. If you cancel or delete, we refund it automatically. Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer. After that, monthly payments aren't refunded, including for partial months.
5. Annual plans.
An annual plan gets a full refund if you ask within 14 days of paying for it, including a renewal, or if you cancel your plan or delete your account within that time. If you cancel or delete, we refund it automatically. Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer. After that, annual payments aren't refunded, including for partial years.
6. Deleting your account.
Deleting your account cancels a card plan straight away, and you aren't charged again. If you delete it within 14 days of paying for your plan, monthly or annual, including a renewal, we refund that payment in full automatically. Automatic refunds are limited to one per customer. Otherwise, any paid time left on your plan, and any credit, is forfeited and not refunded.
7. Billing mistakes.
If we charged you by mistake, we'll refund the charge. Outage credits for serious problems on our side that kept you from using Greenbar are handled case by case.
8. How to ask.
Email hello@usegreenbar.com from the address on your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
